February 2017 PD After 5:

Crisis Communication: Facing the Challenge

A crisis can strike at any time, and there is always the potential for media involvement.  When handled well, an organization comes across as responsible, caring, and competent.  When handled poorly, it can be perceived as unprepared, callous, or even arrogant.

Oliver S. Schmidt, Managing Partner of C4CS, LLC, one of the top crisis communication experts in the U.S., introduced attendees to a real-world crisis scenario and brought them together to develop strategies and tactics for working with the media and general public in communicating the right messages the right way at the right time.

Don't forget to check out our Facebook page to see videos of attendees putting the crisis communication and media relations skills they learned into action with Point Park's journalism students.
